Deal Progress and Next Steps
This page explains how deals progress after due diligence and what founders can expect as a transaction moves toward completion, based on what is currently built and demonstrated in the M&A tool.
Moving Beyond Due Diligence
Once due diligence tasks are completed or nearing completion, the deal continues to progress through later stages.
At this point:
Most required information has been shared
Outstanding questions have been addressed
Both parties have a clearer understanding of the business
The platform tracks this progression so both founders and buyers can see where the deal stands.

Deal Stages and Status Tracking
Each deal moves through defined stages that reflect the current state of the transaction.
As a founder, you can see:
Whether an offer has been accepted
Whether due diligence is in progress
Which tasks remain open
The overall status of the deal
This visibility helps you understand what actions are still required from your side.

Contracts and Agreements
The platform includes a section for contracts related to the deal.
As shown in the walkthrough:
Contracts can be uploaded to the deal
Both founders and buyers can review them inside the platform
Contract signing and deeper contract management are areas that are being built and expanded. Any contract activity shown at this stage reflects early functionality rather than a fully automated process.

Escrow and Payments
Escrow and payment handling were described as upcoming parts of the workflow.
The intent is to:
Support escrow payments tied to signed agreements
Track these steps as part of the deal progression
At the time of the walkthrough, these features were discussed as in development and not fully implemented.

Activity History and Audit Trail
Throughout the entire deal lifecycle, the platform maintains a detailed activity history.
As a founder, you can see:
When documents were uploaded
When comments were added
When tasks were updated
When offers or counter offers were submitted
This creates a clear record of everything that has happened within the deal.

Managing Multiple Deals Toward Completion
If you are engaged with more than one buyer:
Each deal progresses independently
Each has its own documents, tasks, and history
You can monitor all deals from your Deal Hub
This allows you to manage timelines and priorities without confusion.

Current Scope of the M&A Tool
Based on the walkthrough, the M&A tool currently supports:
Listings and controlled access
Offers and negotiations
Deal tracking
Due diligence task management
Document sharing and collaboration
Later stage features such as contract automation and escrow are part of ongoing development and will expand over time.
